Wicked Writers and Researchers!

We have had heaps of fun researching 'the good old days' and produced some timelines.  Here are a mixture of facts from some of the students timelines.  Did you know...

1970:  The Attack of the Killer Tomatoes movie was released.  It is about a whole lot of tomatoes that kill people.  By Harry

1971:  Suits and pants were an acceptable fashion for woman to wear.  It was a time when women went a bit crazy with fashion!  By Caleb N.

1972:  David Bowie released an album called Ziggy Stardust.  By Leilani

1975:  Jaws was the hit movie of 1975.  It tells the story of a great white that begins to cause menace on the Island of Amity.  By Grace

1976:  An aircraft capable of supersonic passenger flight had been manufactured for military purposes only but in 1976 the Concorde became available for commercial purposes.  By Kobe

1977:  After a shambolic US tour Sid Rotten announced the break up of the Sex Pistols. By Savannah

1978:  Bob Marley and the Wailers were a great band.  They really took reggae to the International Stage.  By Jermaine

1979:  The hottest ever Plymouth of 1979 was the Plymouth Super Bird - it was a custom built hot rod.  By Caleb J

1982:  ET was released and it surpassed Star Wars to become the most financially succesful film to that point in time.  By Paiki
